very nice. I vote Engelmann; have Englemanns with similar glaucus color. If you get back budding way back on the barked-up trunk then its CBS, but if only ever on the base of branches or on thinly-barked branches then Engelmann

Very interesting. I had never heard of that as a defining characteristic. I’ll have to pay close attention to this when/if I get solid back budding.

FWIW my only Engelmann's new growth is always blue for 1-2 years, mine can't possibly be CBS as it was collected in WA state.

Very nice-- and both sides offer nice views. As it develops one side will eventually stand out more, but as is I would go with B . Thanks for sharing!
