Bill has posted in his blog a catalog of trees for sale from his collection.🥲

If anyone enroute to Oregon from Rochester need transport assist for a tree purchase from Bill feel free to contact me. We will be making a stop in Chicago so far.

In regards to Bill’s trees I love the cataloging to show progression over the years. I really admire people who record the legacy of their trees, it feels personal but also honors the history of the tree.

Some high quality trees, but also a few that I find a little on the expensive side for what they offer. But maybe these are the going rates in the US.

These are specimen trees. If they were mine, I would have to price higher so that I was less likely to part with them.

If I wasn't so worried about being homeless during retirement I would buy so many of these. I took a Bill Valvanis trident forest building workshop the morning before my senior prom and I learned so much about design and aesthetic from that one class with Bill.

I feel there is a premium tied to his name.
Of course there are ...But I feel these prices are much more reasonable than Ryan's Neil prices on trees. If it was you or me selling these same trees we'd be lucky to get half of that lol. Bill V is very well respected in the bonsai world and most people would want to be able to own a tree that was in his collection. It's like buying a car that owned by a celebrity.

Yea the size and age of these trees, the prices are very reasonable.
Wish I had the money to spare to buy one, but like @shohin_branches, most of my extra money after bills and groceries goes into my retirement fund and saving up for a downpayment on my next vehicle

The pricing here is understandable and worth it if you the cashNot only because the species here from the beech to contorted cherry and hinoki cypress forests are not found with such maturity and development in the U.S.

Add to that is Bill’s long deep association with the beginning of bonsai. He studied with Yuji Yoshimura (the OG of east coast bonsai on a par with John Naka). BTW. Bills companion RAF Scot’s Pine is at the National Bonsai and Penjing Museum. Bill has been doing bonsai for over 60 years. These are some of the sum of that work

Bill's collection and the man himself is nothing less than absolutely adorable. He simply lives Bonsai ... and certainly is a legend already.
I wish I would have the chance to take a course and to learn from him.

Corin from Greenwood Bonsai (UK), who was once an apprentice of Bill for some time, made a lovely interview and a tour through Bill's extensive collection:

I think you can spot some of the trees he's offering now for sale.
