While I love seeing the success you have attained with the kelp, not sure I agree this is something that can be used on trees less salt-tolerant. Does kelp always contain sodium and iodine?
The only brand I trust is from my hydroponic teacher more or less so I did learn Hydroponics from a video series……Harley Smith ,he owns KALIXor the NPK brand powdered kelp …..KALIX is the parent company.

I use it on everything deciduous ,tiniest of seedlings….. totally fine With this specific brand…….. but ,yes I would be cautious of other brands.Good point👍
Check the backbudding on the zelkova and 2” tall hornbeam!!!

Check the recent photos of the kelp foliar fed pines……backbudding like crazy.I have decided to grow a regular un-cut crop of seedling JBP like these since they still have great backbudding.I will also start under blue enhanced bulbs so they are nice and very short stemmed…..really excited for these……I will start them in a week or so.

And also the last two pictures shows what it can do for seedling cuttings grown indoors….lots of branches very early.

The bigger un-cut seedings below are only in their 2nd grow season!!!

Well the proof is in your pictures, I will have to try again. I think the reaction was bad because I was trying to use a health store kelp product.
I love how you grow some in rockwool and the seedling is three times the size of the container, would sure like to see what your seeds could do with deep cells.
Also I hate it when my new leaves get really shiny, never knew that was calcium increase related until reading your posts, maybe now I will be more patient with it knowing it is a good thing.

Seems a sale at Kalix

They have slightly changed their product lineup, and I am still on my first wholesale order and probably will be for a few years now, but still essentially the same. Their hydroponic concepts behind their products are still paramount as the owner, from what I understood last ,is also the teacher of the Harley Smith grow series videos which I learned everything from ……aside from the trial and error that was applied afterwards😆
