Is it OK to add used coffee grounds into soil mix for satsuki azalea?

This is the one I'm asking about re: coffee grounds. Won't transplant until next year.

Wondering…. What benefit would this give an azalea?

cheers

If you're looking for acid soil, coffee grounds aren't really going to help that much. Using kanuma soil does. It's not all that expensive for a smaller plant such as yours and you can get it from a lot of sources.

If you're using coffee grounds as a fertilizer, it's also not all that great. Satsukis aren't heavy "feeders" and rich soil can be a bad thing.
