I think the owner would appreciate it if I collected this tree. It's obviously an eyesore and he'll be happy when he sees that it disappears one night, and surprised, too!

The plan is to ground layer this critter by pruning the roots in the center and dusting the stumps with rooting hormone and mounding soil around them for a couple weeks. Next month I'll chop off the outer roots and put this baby in a training pot. Next spring I'll reduce the roots some more and it should win Best of Show for me at the May show if I find just the right pot. Some people think I'm too optimistic.
