This thread is about a Bosnian Pine I got at my local garden center a couple weeks ago for 40.00$. I have searched and searched for examples of this species grown as bonsai but the majority of the links I have found lead me to this first picture of Bonsai Boy's bosnian for sale, ranging in price from 49.00- 216.00$- for a stick in a pot!
The second pic is how I got my tree. It was half dead, neglected, hiding in the back lot growing in the shade of a huge cottonwood tree.
I removed all the needles and leaves from inside the pot and found this huge trunk.
After cleaning it up a bit
