Mike, once the poll is complete I hope that you will give us your opinion regarding this tree's potential and your future plans for it.

Jeff, political considerations require the tree to stay as is for awhile. In the future there will be radical changes, you can be sure.

The attached image is a possibility. The topmost jin would be carved from the existing trunk. The 2 lower jins would be added. This is done by saving old jins, or makig a jin from a discarded branch. To attach, a hole sized to the jin is drilled into the trunk about 1/4 inch or so. The Jin is plugged in using heavy duty waterproof glue. A "jinuki", so to speak.

If I keep the tree as bunjin,this image, or something similar is what I would like to see, if possible. Probably would require grafting to make it happen in any reasonable timeframe.

Your call, Mike, but in the latest virt I still see significant movement in the lower half of the trunk and very little in the upper half.

Can you give me a scenario that would account for such in nature?
