Has anyone ever made a bonsai with a Carolina Reaper?

I had a huge one in the garden this summer and considered it but, I don't want anymore indoor winter stuff.

I used to do Bon-chi...

Just a struggle, as Mark said, taking up “better-spent” indoor room.

And, as Arnold said, the species (even ‘exotic’ ones) I have access too are quite short-lived... I can “baby” 3(ish) years out of them.. but the last 6 months is ugly..

Find a Pepper TREE.. I forget the species.. but there are a couple native to central America.. I’ve seem “landscape” specimens that the owners CLAIM were 15-20 years old.

I DO grow a variety of Chile’s.. every year, though.. always will.

Hello, I made an account just to say that I have successfully bonsai a Carolina Reaper plant. :)

I will grab a few photos this weekend and post. 👍

Usually peppers are bianual or very short lived perennials, although there are some more long lived arbustive species that make woody trunks
The longest I ever kept any pepper plant alive is 12 years in tropical climates. Once the trunk get woody the ability to back up slowly regress until the tree is no longer healthy.
