Clay Pebble soil enhancer from Home Depot

They call it "organic clay," but I think they mean it's acceptable for organic gardening. It says it is suitable for hydroponic gardening and is re-useable. The price is less than a dollar a quart.

Looks a bit big for bonsai. Comments and customer pics shows an average 1" size.

Could be expanded shale based on what little I can see.

Thanks, I didn't notice the customer photos and descriptions. Looks like it's too large and non-uniform.

I am not sure about the size, but that is about what I paid for what looks like a similar sized bag of akadama. That being said it would probably work quite well mixed in w spaghnum or compost for growing flats.

From the description it sounds good, except for the size. Customers state that the particle size is about an inch. That's the size of a quarter. Too big.
