When we lived in Virginia, I found a large black racer that got caught in some plastic mesh fencing I had left outside. That was one unhappy snake! I put on thick gloves and a long sleeved sweatshirt and got to work. I had to carefully cut the plastic mesh he was caught in. But he was pretty fat and was caught in a number of loops. Took a while and when the last loop was cut he was out of there like a bolt of lightning. Didn't take any bites but he tried!Non-venomous blue racer on the farm, it can put quite a bite on you, draw blood, but usually is very quick to get away. It's a big snake, can get up to 6 feet long. So far have not seen any Rattlers. We do have trash pandas.
Up here we don't seem to have anything that is venomous. Haven't seen any black widows (they were everywhere in Virginia), no recluses, no poisonous snakes. Supposedly there is a small population of Massasauga rattlesnakes in a swamp about 10 miles from here but I don't know of anyone who has ever seen one there.
