Cold spell

Whats the snow like in Augsburg? Just moved some maples out of the wind. We have over an inch of snow now. Should not get cold though..
Lets see what 2 inches of fresh growth look like in the morning..

It did snow tonight, indeed.. Cars are covered.
Yesterday night got quite windy as well (still nothing extra ordinary if compared to what you're used to in the Netherlands).
I'm just glad I put trees back inside asap.

My gf is now in charge to evaluate whether to put them out again during the day, as I'm out for work 13 to 15 hours every day

Weather is supposed to mess with us here for another couple of days before to steer into milder temps.

Recently there was cold spell here. Lows were -1C so cold enough to cause some damage. Fortunately, the freeze was only 2 days and lasted for a few hours at night. Before midnight I took in my weak trees and trees with somewhat of leaf formation. All others were left out. During the day I put all but 2 back outside and they all survived. I get the feeling being in the house for 2 day had a more positive effect than negative, because the buds on the 2 trees kept inside were open by second day of begin inside.
