some minorities want the best for their kids - even if it that means going to a majority white school.

The issue is calling it a majority white/black school. Thats an aside to the real issue and makes things seem racial driven.

Oh, I don't think that the Baby Boomers only ignored the needs of young liberals... I think they ignored the needs of everyone other than other older aged Baby Boomers who were connected... or at least it is quite obvious here in Canada; I suppose I'd have to admit that it might not be as predominant in the States, but the effects are going to be the same as BB's become more and more dependent on the assistance of the younger generations.

im thankful we have the freedom of press here but its a double edged sword at times. there are some very poorly written pieces and now we have facebook postings that are considered legitimate news sources. you cant really fault the news outlets (they are a business afterall( and people will believe what they want to believe - so its no wonder we have so many conflicting sources.
