Dwarf Ginkgo - branching won't develop

Interesting. I bought a Mariken a couple months ago and it has a lot more branches than I could ever use. I will probably use them next spring for scion wood for grafts on my 2 and 3 year seedlings.

Since they don't heal well, I wasn't aware ones grafted ginkgo. Interesting...

Now, Ryan Neil did a podcast and talked on Ginkgo needing a 6.5-7 ph to promote branching. Mine has developed rather well while it's been on my bench. My PH is. 7. So...makes me go hm-mm as it if that is a key factor as he mentioned. Asked a friend to gather the podcast link I shared...its in a group I am no longer a member to. So if I get that link...I will try to post it.

I have half a dozen grafted varieties. Some I have had so long that I lost the tags.
Also never had problem on healing.

I worded it wrong...grafted base, yes. Grafted branches...not so much. Maybe I misunderstood your intentions. Most grants onto root stock are rough.

Podcast I mentioned. A friend grabbed it. Way past halfway mark...is mention of ginkgo. PH and promoting branches are discussed.
