Check out Kimura's work in early Bonsai Today or his _The Magician_ series of books. Pay particular attention to the timing. For a much less authoritative look into things, I started a thread a while back on slipping the bark. My findings differ with your take.Beautiful tree. Nice collect. Be aware bending Junipers during growth can be a death sentence because the bark can slip and if it does sap flow stops beyond the slip. I believe dormancy is the ideal time.![]()
