If I ever let this grow....it wouldn't be slow growing....

It took a bad hit due to laziness and Unsifted oil dry last year.

With only half the roots left...
I am determined to make this something someday. It has a sentimental value for me.

First potentially flowering dig...
It's still alive!
It's gangster as Hell.
If given 50 years or could look better than Walter's....etc. Etc.

It might end up being from a cutting...
Or a layer....
Or this entire piece of dookie itself....

But I will enjoy these flowers one day.

They are pretty vigorous, the Wife ordered two small ones for the side of the house like a foot tall and I told her I did not know she was going to do the hedge trimming this year and thanked her

Forsythia is fun, small ones can flower. If not a "bonsai", it's a real pleasure to see one of the first flowers in the season (2014):

If you're interested in trying this species, Reiners bonsai blog is a must. It's in German, but the pictures are self-explanatory, and you can use an online translator if you want more details.

PS: "Fumer tue lentement" = "Smoking slowly kills". No worries, I'm not in a hurry.

damn... any idea why? I found it odd that my 4 small ones were chopped, stuck in a pot, and neglected last year and somehow are now showing foliage. Winter was odd here as I lost some things that normally do fine while others that always do good kicked hardcore.

It is actually clinging...but I'm ending it.

The base been rotting and got worse after not repotting last year....

This is one I...."couldn't kill"...
