Hinoki cypress nursery stock

Yesterday at the local garden center I bought this Hinoki cypress for 25 euros… the plan is style this tre in autumn

Are you able to tell if the tree was grafted onto the root base? If it was grown straight from seed (non-graft), which it appears to be, congratulate yourself on an even better find! I love chamaecyparis. I only have one and it's my prized possession. It's a graft but fortunately looks better than most. Keep us posted on your progress.
