How can I keep it alive?

I got this little grass from Suthin at the Expo in Rochester. My question is, can this be kept outside during winter with protection? Or is this going to die? Also found some mold on the soil/moss this morning and I’ve been keeping it inside, I’ve brought it outside now. Thanks for any help.

Grass is seasonal. Some species used in bonsai/kusamono are not frost hardy. Important to determine what species this is and then determine what to do. Bringing it inside for the winter will likely kill it if it's more temperate. Leaving it outside will kill it if it's more tropical...

FWIW, I have winter hardy grasses in containers that I leave outside in winter. They die back with the coldest weather but return in the spring.

Contact Suthin to get the botanical name for the grass and tips from him on how he winters its. That would be best.
