I think I can see the leaf base in the second picture, not irregular so maybe not elm...

The two bumps at the leaf base indicate it's family of a cherry or plum

Definitely could be cherry too. Good catch on those bumps, learned something again!

No doubt on the restaurants! Lol!

The so-called Japanese Cherry Blossom, I'm sure you've heard of the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC....some of those ones are real old and gnarly.
 
I would certainly concur with the cherry identification......looks identical to all of those that pop up in my garden
