Is my Juniper sick?

Some foliage browned slightly on my new, gorgeous Juniper. So, I've read that spider mites may have attacked it. But nothing landed on a sheet of paper when my brother shook a brown part. What more should I do for the tree? Will the discolored foliage fall off the tree?

Greetings

We really can’t recommend much without some decent images of the tree. Can you please post 2-4 medium and close images of the damage on the tree so we can help you? Use the attach files button on the lower left of the window to upload, then attach the image.

Also please double tap your icon and add your approximate USDA Cold Hardiness Zone and location, then account details and scroll down and add these data and save. This will provide further information to help.

Cheers

Thank you. I'll try to show you some photos.

You keeping the tree inside?

without photos this is impossible to answer
Sure, but I need to reach a goal. I need to find a place to keep evergreen bonsai trees in the winter. The cold frames I've read about seem too big to put beside my wheelchair ramp's door. Amazon.com sells a windowpane greenhouse. But the best window beside my dining room table. So, I may need to settle for indoor bonsai living under grow lights. That's partly why I gave my Juniper to someone who'll keep it in his garage in the winter.

Thats my blog. We are asking for photos of your tree. Juniper probably doesnt need special winter protection depending on your location. What is your usda zone?

I'm sorry I commented on your blog.

I'm in Zone 5, where temperatures can fall below zero degrees Fahrenheit.

Zone 5 is not a concern for junipers generally. Just keep them on the ground mulched in. Should be fine.

Again, I'm sorry. I didn't notice your signature.

I gave the Juniper to someone who'll keep it in his garage in the winter because Brussels Bonsai suggested sheltering it then.

Can't tell you what is going on or advise without pictures or location information

Edit: nevermind tree was given to someone else

The tree's new home is 45 miles away, so I probably won't see it again.
