I have wanted a cork bark portulacaria ever since I heard they existed. However, they are very rare in Europe. A few weeks however I got an email 'through the grapevine' that one was for sale, whether I was interested. A deal was struck. We waited for the hottest part of this summer so far to pass and yesterday a box arrived at my doorstep.

Bare-rooted because it was part of a freshly imported batch of them, and fairly dried out.

Planted in slightly humid substrate, sitting in a windowsill far from slugs, rain etcetc. As it was packed in a small box, some side-branches had been cut, and packed with the tree. THese are in a separate container for propagation. Fingers crossed!
