Looking for a credit card for people with money, no debt, and perfect credit.

Need to be able to buy a $10 meal at Wendy's without getting declined and having account frozen until you "check in" with your account... like oh... Bank of America VISA, for example.

If you haven't had the 4 for 4....that Chicken BLT is fire and you are spending way too much at Wendy's!

Did you mean No Credit?

What is it with all the credit stuff? Do only gangsters do cash? And how about getting paid? Doesn't that money come in on an account with a empty is empty rule?
I mean, I can do about 3 bucks red on mine, but isn't there a 'normal' way of consuming over there? Like where you spend money you got?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just very curious and not understanding

Our pay checks come on Debit Cards with astronomical prices to access cash.

That's how come Parharm can't sell dem boxes!

You all get controlled....but we are so stupid...they don't have to hide stealing from us anymore!

Bud, you you can buy coke contactless in the us... approved by the trump :P just different dude. Cash still king in the uk :P

I've been happy with my Amex blue cash card. It's nice to get cash back on purchases and i hardly ever use cash anymore. I have only had them call me to check on card usage when i travel. It's a damn shame that costco stopped taking Amex last year though because I spend a ton in that place every month.

All I can add is I HATE Capital One. They have the worst interest rates, and a dang $59 a year member fee. A member fee?!?! After paying them near 30% interest every month they then charge me an extra $60 per year...to pay them 30% interests. Thats like charging someone $60 to punch them in the face  Not that I'm bitter or anything o_O

Funny how we still hear Cash like that...

Our Credit Card debt is up to billions.

The whole system counts on the little uneducated guy to mess up.

But then they never pay that debt anyway so where does all this pretend money come from?

We are so screwed!

I'm with NYbonsai12. AMEX always works. Their trick is high fees to merchants and they pay the merchants late as hell. Sooo, they have plenty of time to NOT pay them if you find fraud and dispute a transaction. The rewards are pretty decent as well.

What is going on here?
Is there over a 10 dollar minimum?

Any gas station with bullet proof glass has a ten dollar minimum.

I been in a lot of retail situations, just when you think you love your AMEX, you'll find a place that doesn't accept it.

I've had my credit card and checking account hacked. I always make sure I have some cash on me. Lesson from my dad. Unless I get mugged, which is pretty unlikely in a town of 700 people (with 2 nursing homes, lol
) Unless we're in St. Louis, which is getting a little scary lately. Kind of sad that I check our bank accounts daily for unusual activity.

No... it's just that my son goes to college on the other side of the country. He also swims competitively all over the country so he travels a lot. I have had three separate conversations with Bank of America BEGGING them to do something to allow him to use his credit card when he travels. No good. Today he was returning home from school and his flight connected through Houston. He went into a Wendy's in the airport and tried to buy some food. DENIED! Bank of America FOILS ANOTHER INTERNATIONAL WENDYS CRIME RING! And when they deny a charge for my son - even $10 - they lock up my entire account until I contact them. This has happened three separate times.

So I called customer service - refused to talk to any of their computers - and got a human on the line. We had a nice LONG chat. As I explained, I know that it is costing Bank of America at least $20 for me to talk to their human... all over the fact that they denied my son a $10 meal while he was traveling. Idiots. So I am going to cancel my son's account, and mine as well. Fuck them. I refuse to work with idiots who will pimp out their customers' quality of life just because some loss prevention specialist advised them to deny all charges that occur more than 20 miles away from their home address.

The last time this happened was LAST SATURDAY when he was up at Harvard. Same conversation, same promises to put notes in his account, set up a special "traveling" identification... nothing came of it. He can't even buy a fucking fast food burger in an airport.

Credit Union is the way to go.
If your are traveling, a call to the card company BEFORE you travel should help...not that I've ever tried, or needed to do that.

I use bofa. Had my information stolen once. Someone in the UK was spending hundreds of dollars in clothes with my card. Bofa automatically flagged it as suspicious and I did not lose money or get charged. Immediately had to cancel and change to a new card though.

USAA. I don't know if they have the same restrictions like they do for car insurance (military, or family that is/was military). No membership fees, never been outright denied when I travelled, though they have called me after a purchase to verify it was legit. The rewards aren't as great as some other cards, but I've never had a customer service complaint from them in the many years I've been with them.

It seems their fraud detection system is somewhat intelligent and learns as it goes. For instance, the first time I travelled out to San Francisco for work I got a call asking if a purchase there was legitimate. But it soon seemed to recognize I was there frequently and never asked again. Either that or they turned off the system and I'm giving them too much credit :).

With the large credit card breaches at Home Depot and Target over the last couple years they proactively sent me new cards since my purchase history showed I shopped there.

As you likely know, there are lots of protections for cardholders when it comes to illegitimate charges which is why I will NEVER use a debit card. Just stay in control and pay the balance.
