Would this have any negative impact long term, assuming you cut them off next repot? You just don’t want root coming out of the trunk above the current roots.

The price point on this is excellent. The 200G tube I posted was $30. I'll chalk that up to me being a noob.
Save that tube for more delicate species. The price point on this is excellent. The 200G tube I posted was $30. I'll chalk that up to me being a noob.
When the tree is healthy I can cut them off.Would this have any negative impact long term, assuming you cut them off next repot?
Your branch splits are nearly all the same length. They need to get progressively shorter. You may need to cut Hulk back a bit more to make that happen. Other than that Hulk looks good and healthy. Here is Hulk. Uncle C did it... so it has been well over a year.

I did a pretty hard cut back yesterday... mostly at the top.

Wow! Very nice & Hulk like. Love the added calcium, & the fact that you & Uncle C name your trees. I came up with a name for mine...Cajun Riders Wisdom. Here is Hulk. Uncle C did it... so it has been well over a year.

Here's most of the tools I used. I tried not to leave big gouges with the carving tools. I used a bigger hand saw & my drill with a wood carving paddle attachment to get started (not pictured)
I carved with the wood handle tools quite a bit, it should look roughed up a bit a guess. Not bad attempt as I've never done that before I'll let it heal a bit and go from there.![]()
