Picked this guy up in trade for work.
I'm guessing...
crassula ovata jade tree
Let me know if I'm wrong about that...
He's got a serious lean going on as he didn't get rotated often/ever
Kinda like it.IMG_20161130_135125075.jpg IMG_20161130_135203184_TOP.jpg

No plans yet but a repot is in it's future.
Ideas? Suggestions?

I guess it'd be good to study it's habits a bit....but it looks like a fat trunk, and if you could cut back to the first leaves one each branch, without killing it, and get back budding, it could end up a nice shohin size tree... if you wanna call it that...
Cool find, whatever you do...
I dig it...
What did you trade for it?

These can be pruned pretty drastically with no problems, plus you can root whatever you cut off and have a bunch more! They also CAN be wired, but carefully. The branches don't bend like trees, they bend at the nodes (lines on the branches) so you need to be careful not to bend to far or it'll snap. Jades are tough suckers, I personally like the second picture if your able to bend everything back so it's not falling on you (not literally)lol

It is literally falling over unless on a firm surface and well watered. Leaning on the backdrop in first pic. Not much dirt in that little pot.

Maybe $40 labor... took an hour.

I don't want to say "cheap".

Fair?

How about...successful!

You must get a lot of business!

Just don't let Crazy eff up your sustainability!

We usually use this "how'd he die?" at work. When amongst many things that can actually kill you, you stab yourself with a sharpie, or something stupid....

Lol...."how'd he die?"

How'd he go broke?

He kept trading services for trees!

Lol!

Don't become the.....

Barter Martyr!

Love it!

We have one that is getting rather large at my Wife's office. When you repot use a heavy ceramic just as deep as it is wide including the base - no taper. They need to dry between watering and as they grow will get big enough to uproot themselves unless properly over potted. Now if wired in - different game but be certain the width of the pot supports the weight of the plant or it will tip the pot as well.
Cool plant, just takes getting used to ;)

Would have takin' the cash
Yes but he has more work being done for cash at this time. Doing his carbs today. And in reality the job only took about 25 minutes. Good customer with about 10 motorcycles to keep me busy.
