Collected some seeds while on vacation in Mauritius 2023. Not sure what species it is, but it grows well and has some cute small leaves, and grows vigorously

Will update this thread as the tree grows

Judging from the leaves and the collected location, I would guess those are Tamarinds (Tamarindus Indica). My experience with them is mixed, here in Greece they tend to grow rapidly in my climate, but as soon as the temperatures drop a bit or we have a cold night they get start acting up, turning yellow and drooping. Sadly I haven't managed to keep one alive for long, at some point they tire me up and I give up on them and they end up dying.

Your's look really good tho! I really like this S shape, great job! I believe that as long as you water them properly and don't neglect them like I tend to do, they will do just fine!

Could be tamarinds indeed. The seeds / pods didnt look much like that however. I think it might be a Mysore Thorn. I guess I'll have to wait for a flower to appear, will be easier to specify then

Well it is a possibility, but I believe that if it is a Mysore Thorn you should expect to see thorns appear at some point even from a young tree.
