A really nice Sorce pot. I love the shallow form with angular feet. I was especially drawn to the blistering glaze with slight crackling. I'll post up the others when I get a free minute. Home run, Sorce!!

Can we see this tree please? I don't remember a thread about it....
it's currently being developed. I should keep a photo log though...good idea! it's a while away from being potted up to say the least, hence why there is no thread

I thought I should share this new arrival here, in case somebody can share some insight on the signature. (yes, i have already consulted the known experts and vendors in the field).

This apparently rare signature that has been confirmed to be Mr. Aiba Kouichirou's, although it's significance (i.e. the reason why he would use this particular signature as opposed to his more common signatures) is yet unknown.

Three things strike me as odd:

1 - it is unusual for Mr. Aiba Kouichirou to build pots on the wheel
2 - the glaze is terrible - it is the ugliest koyo i have ever seen
3 - the pot is unbelievably heavy (it is as though it is made of cast iron)

Mr. Aiba Kouichirou [Koyo] 8.3" x 2.2"

I’ve been wondering if someone was going to incorporate minerals into bonsai. Looking forward to seeing it!

Absolutely. Maybe I'll be my mark on bonsai! :) I have like 20 ROR projects going right now and half of them are with minerals...will post much more in the spring and the coming years

I'll at least start by outlining the minerals and showing before pictures of them without trees attached
in a couple years it will be with trees on them! Cool!

Cool!
if i can ever get a tree looking decent enough to put into the local show, i'm going to be including a mineral from my collection in the display, in place of a viewing stone.
