Yep, it's on the big side for Ino containers. I think this ROR trident will go well in it. I've been working on developing a killer nebari spread around the base of the stone as the key feature, so it will go nicely in a shallow pot.

Ino is known for his glazes, and this one is exceptional due to the color. On top of that, Ino seems to have a distinctive style shaping his rectangles. That, coupled with the wonderful patina really gives this one an "old" or wabi sabi feel to it...love it.

Thanks, I really dig your blue with the oil drops...still hope to see it in person one day.

I thought I'd post a few pictures of this pot I purchased this past spring. It's Tokoname, by Shuho. It's 14" by 11" by 2.5", so a descent size, and I absolutely love the glaze. As with most of my nicer pots, I didn't have a tree in mind when I purchased it. I think it would look great with the right azalea, but of course, I don't have an azalea that would ever go with the pot...maybe one of my palmatums, but not for a few years. Honestly, I'll be happy looking at it on my cabinet for the next 30 plus years...my bedroom is now a cat free zone:)

How much do these pots go for?

A few other Ino pots I've picked up through auctions this year. The glaze on both is much more subtle then usual, and further softened by the decades old patina. The top one is a smidge over 12" wide while the shallower is 10.5".

C A ......hey, it stands for Clam Alley studio....in Rhode Island, no less.....

I've got some more if you would like to see.....hmmm...no smilies...
