Out to sea!

Hey man. Good to hear from you. Been wondering how you going. I used to love watching those programs on National Geographic about fishing in the Bering sea. Violent storms there. You hit some?

Still at the docks working on the boat right now. We leave first week of June. Bad weather starts in September

Good luck up there and be careful. Most dangerous profession in the world.

Best of luck! I used to sit on my ass all the time and speculate what I could do--I still do at times. Of recent though I've tried to make an effort in sending in applications and interviewing. When something actually pulls through it feels great! Looks like you're making the most of your opportunities and I hope I can too.

Get em Boy!

Get em!

Well I'm proud to say I got em. After 3 trips and more than 115 days at sea I'm done for the year. The company is having me go to school starting on Monday to get certified as an assistant engineer(way more money) I made the right choice in doing this. I love the job and i'm that much closer to getting my property, going off grid and really getting started on making my contributions to American bonsai. Life is good.

Good to hear Blake!
And good to hear from you!

Well guys its been a crazy last couple months. I ended a 5 year relationship with my gf, and moved back home to Vancouver last week. Went and had me interview in seattle with clipper seafoods yesterday and crushed it, they had me take a piss test and are running my background check as I write this. They're moving me up to seattle to overhaul the ships on the weekend of the 19th, i'll be reoutfitting the ships until the end of may and then i'll be sailing up to dutch harbor to really start working first week of June. All my trees are safe and sound tucked away at the flower farm until I have time to work them again. Its finally happening guys. 15years from now i'll have my property and greenhouses in the cascades and then the real bonsai work begins.
Nice to have a dream and even nicer to see a way to make it happen.

Good for you Blake! If they are willing to send you to school, that means you sufficiently impressed them to invest in you. Congrats.
Push yourself to learn everything you can and excel at it. Put care into everything you do and it will get noticed and youll go far.

Good for you Blake. There is only one thing better than loving what you do, and that's loving more what you're going to do after this. You got it made bud !!! ;)
You had time yet to miss the ex girlfriend?
