outside display

I quess I've jumped in over my head, but I love display. I'm working on ways i can take display to my outside benches. here in the northwest, you never know when your away and a rain storm can dampen/ruin anything outside.

So i talked with our local potter, and he came up with a glazed black Jitta to be used outside and not affected by the weather.

I had him make them in 3 different shapes and sizes. The brown one is what the undersides look like.

So what do you think?

Very nice Dick. It's better to see them in context, it's hard to picture them without the pots on them, as they are so shiny and black.

Here's an alpine willow with a colorful suiseki (yes i cheated and cut the bottom of the rock flat)

I ended up with what we cheaters call a "two-fer".
