I remember reading a post on layering and growing trees from cuttings and someone mentioned a book that covered what the best way to root each species of trees. Can someone recommend a book that will help me?
Michael dirr has a few publications. His one book, which is out of print, was fantastic. It was the propagation of woody trees and shrubs. I referenced a copy all the time when I was at penn state. He has another book that I own that covers propagation, but I don't know if it's the same or as good as that edition I borrowed published in the 70s/80s. Regardless, dirr is the guy you want
I have a copy but I find it to be too complicated to follow the instructions so I just settle for results that are lackluster in my propagation efforts.
Damn, you guys got me to look at the links on Amazon, looks like before the day it out I will spend $300 on books, and might not even get the one we are talking about. Random browsing strikes again!
