Pruning my Fukien Tea !

My Fukien Tea is growing very rapidly. Guess it likes it outside !

When should I prune the new growth? The new growth is green and not brown branches yet. It's having shoots of about 3 - 4 ".

I recently fertilized it and am letting the flower bud. Please see pictures. Sorry you have to tilt your head.

I think you need more internodes (3 or 4) and then cut back to the first, but i don't know for sure.
