Hello European neighbors

I need a lot of primarily Pumice (but would also be happy for lava, zeolit, akadama etc). But im living in Denmark, and the possibilities of buying big quantities for a discount is very limited. (It's sold here in small 2 liter bags for high prices!). And it seems like Amazon is not shipping big quantities? I was thinking about driving to another EU country (maybe Germany?) and fill up my car which as much as possible to squeeze in the car😄. On that way get a leisure weekend trip abroad out of it as a bonus. So I'm interested to know how much you pay for big quantities of bonsai soil around in EU? and Where and how to get it on the cheap? Also I'm interested in 10 kilo of aluminium wire and 10 kilo of copper wire in different sizes, so tips to prices? is also welcome. Thanks!

Consider how much you actually need and that lava and pumice can be reused many times. So you gain nothing by going big but lost storage space, if you dont have many big bonsai.

i get 20kg bag of pumice for 5 euros, but its a bit coarser than what i would like. I mix it with zeolite 25kg bag 10 euros. Perlite is even cheaper..

Its from a local supplier, but i doubt you can come this south.
I would try Poland&Polish websites!

Thanks for answer. I have plenty of storage space in 10 big plastic barrels outside in the back of my big garden, so that's not a problem. I have been doing bonsai here for almost 10 years and have more than 500 yamadori pre-bonsai potted up In my own home made soil mixture (cat gravel, granite, limestone, perlite, crushed leca balls, crushed broken pots etc and too much organic matter like bark and wood chips) so now me and my trees are looking forward to prober real quality bonsai soil and discard the other mixtures. I think is the next important step in my own bonsai journey. And i don't have time and money to go Germany or another neighbor country for shopping each year, so better stock up for the next year's. I think it will take me 3 repoting seasons to exchange all soil.

Fair enough. I got graded pumice/lava mix 1000L for 270€, delivery included. Dont remember brand. Mined in Germany. Do your back a favor and get pure pumice.

Thank you for answer my post. It is a good idea with Poland. Here in Denmark we have many polish carpenters who work here in Denmark and drive back to their families in Poland in weekends and holidays. Maybe I can make a deal with one of them to pay him for carry the bonsai soil in his van car when he return to Denmark. Do you have any links to a polish website or address who sell Pumice?

Woow sounds like and excellent deal, I wish I could get such a deal, but usually they don't deliver those big bags to other countries. In Denmark we don't have Pumice mines, but we have moler mines and i have bought such a big bags of 1000 L moler for about the same price as you pay for Pumice. It's also good stuff but need to be mixed with other products like Pumice. If somebody reads here and live near Danish border, and don't mind to store 1000 L Pumice for few days, I could pay online but use their deliver address and then come and collect, as a thanks I could then come with some Danish moler. PS. More information about moler on this link:
