Removal of dead leaves

Hey guys. I recently bought a persian Ironwood to Bonsai and it still has some dead leaves hanging on. Should I remove those?

I have several Parrotia persica and I let the leaves drop on their own like oaks and beech.

Pulling dead leaves can damage or remove resting buds at their base if that's the way the tree leafs out. I tend to let them be on my trees. New growth usually pushes them off
