How long have you had this tree in your possession? I know Tridents are aggressive growers. Curious as to length of time it took for those roots to mature and melt on the rock.

How long have you had this tree in your possession? I know Tridents are aggressive growers. Curious as to length of time it took for those roots to mature and melt on the rock.

I've had it for a couple of years. It is about 70+ years and was imported from Japan 20 yrs ago. The two front roots where thread grafted 5 years ago to make it look more balanced from the front, The roots have almost covered the rear of the tree.
