Nice. I can't whine too much, was sunny and in the 50's here today. Not going to be mad at that for December.

All in all... not so bad.
Snow and ice. Nice.
Might prefer it over perpetual drizzleness.

Seems like we are again in for a winter where it never gets really cold. Trees start waking up in late feb and in March or April we get a week of 20-ies. No need to pinch the new grow on the trees. Mother Nature does this all by herself.

I don’t like weather that “sits on the fence”... my springs are like that... I end up “two-stepping” for a an entire MONTH around early-mid spring... the day time temps wake the trees up.. nightime hard freezes kill new growth.

🤣

I do not. I put some of them in a shed. And let the others take it. Funny enough, most local species do not mind. They look horrible in the early morning, and are fine later in the day.

Maybe I shall push some limits with hardier species in the spring.. thanks for the info, friend!

Looking forward to some snow pics here in a couple days on this thread.
I'm going to be in the warm wedge so nothing here, but in the mountains over
in the E Panhandle and up 95...bring it on. Snowshoe, WV got 9" yesterday
more on the way tomorrow.

We're supposed to get a little snow tonight, not a fan. I should have been born in the tropics lol. But since I work a few blocks from work, not a big deal.

There is a reason bonsai with locally native species is a good idea. You don't have to do the 2 step.
I REALLY wish I knew this... i have been “two-stepping” ALL temperate species.. even ones zoned to 4... 🤦🏽‍♂️

*Austrian Bodybuilder voice* “My back will be MASSIVE!”
