Hi!

I would like to ask your opinion about Shohin display.
I did recent work on one of my Shohin and I would like to present the tree.
Ive never participate in any event before and I would like to make it simple for the first time.

I Know Shohin are presented as a group but I was wondering if I could present only one tree with either a Suiseki or company plant and a mini-shikishi maybe with akso a gold screen behind.
Knowing the pot is not final I only want to gain experience at presenting.

I did 2 drawings of what I have in mind (without the mini-shikishi) please dont mind the details but Im wondering if one of the 2 could be a 'correct' presentation.

If not ill just wait as I have other trees in preparation but this is the first one of the lot to be "okay" to present.

Please let me know what you think.

Thank you!

We visited the San Diego Bonsai Club exhibit a couple weeks ago. I’d say based upon what I saw, you are pretty darn close to what some of the displays looked like.

Cheers

Absolutely you can, especially with a tree with this much presence. Try to place it among other small trees so it doesn’t get “lost” in the exhibition.

Thank you guys!
Makes me more confident in buying a proper stand for the tree.
I will get quotes from Japan, as Im not able to find what Im looking for so far.

Thank you again for your advises.
