i got a bunch of different tree seeds this past fall.
i followed the stratifying directions from the company where i purchased them.
for the siberian crabapple it said 60-90 days cold strat.i started them the begining of january thinking they will be ready by the end of march to the end of april.
i did my weekly checking on them and noticed the crabapple had sprouted.

this is new to me,i've grown veggies from seeds but never trees and never stratified any thing.
is this part of the strat process?should i leave them in the fridge?should i pot them?
i'm assuming i need to pot them-would they be ok in a sunny window?we have temps in the low to mid 30's for the next week.
any advice will be apreciated-thanks in advance

Pot them for sure, just don't let them get close to freezing.

Well done! You could have planted them a lot earlier; Whent the first white shows it is time to plant.

When you pot them, be VERY carefull in handling them. Do not press down on the soil. Just lay them in the soil, and water down. I like to make little ridges, place the seedlings against them, and then cover the root.

CHeck the seedlings carefully; You can see the transition of root to stem in the seedling already, about halfway down the white; Plant them up to the transition in the soil

stupid question-when i plant them is it the end with the seed attached down in the soil or up out of the soil
i assume out

You could plant some upside down to get interesting low movement.

If out some together too....like this...aviary-image-1454932635258.jpeg

You got a lot!

The seedside it the top, and stays above the soil. Best to only handle them bythe seed, as the white is really fragile.
