Home made soil sifter. After doing it by hand once I made this. Fines are collected in a bucket at the bottom.

:( cant get your video to play :(

You have lots of substrate to sift?
I find my annual needs (20 or so gallons) are still easily done by hand in summer.

After 5 gallons I spent the weekend making this. I sifts thru 5 gallons in 10 minutes. I could not upload the video it was too big. That is a screenshot

If you could only make the video the size of your soil workload!

Nice.

I'm starting to get interested in soil sifter plans. I'd love to see more of this one.

Interesting contraption. Reminds me of a few things I’ve made that start out sort of simple in my head....then....hours later....I have all sorts of pieces of wood fastened together. And I then I have my assembled trophy.

I just built big wooden boxes that stack on top of each other, and the bottom is on rollers. More room to sift large quantities, and it still has some of the zone out effect I enjoy about sifting.😆

What's the secret sauce that the drill is driving?
