Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Paul, excellent execution! It will take a very specific tree but the pot will\ could\should enhance the combo.

I like the second pot alot Paul. What would go well in a square pot like this? Pine?

Ooh! If those were rectangles I may be more tempted to acquire one, but these are incredibly nice. I really like the smooth unglazed finish.

Hi Gary,

I appreciate the compliment very much.

Yes, these pots were made for a friend on mine that has a very special semi-cascade Eleagnus. He had a very clear vision in mind when he asked me to make them.

Cheers,
Paul

Hello Tom,

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Yes, a nice semi-cascade pine with a heavy trunk would work well in a pot like this.

Have you got all the details for your display figured out yet?

Cheers,
Paul

Thanks for the kind words Brian. Your feedback is always a appreciated.

I'm working on a couple of large, textured rectangles right now. Hopefully, they will be ready for the next glaze firing.

These pots are each finished with a different oxide based engobe. Manganese dioxide was the colorant used on the first pot and Burnt umber was the colorant used on the second pot.

Have a great day.

Paul

Here is an oval pot with a new engobe finish I have been developing.

And here are a couple of round pots with another new finish.

Any thoughts on these finishes?

Still thinking, though the tree is doing well and looks great in your pot.
