You are on site so I must defer to your assessment but unless that wire on the trunk is thicker than any I have ever seen I suspect that branch would move a little at the very least.

Taking that branch out completely would appear to leave almost all of the branches growing towards the back of the tree as seen from your preferred viewing point.
The branch with the fork appears to be much further back in the side and rear shots so I don't think it will be able to become the main apex.
The smaller branch on the right is also leaning well back and is also well out to the side. Keeping it as the main leader with the other 2 heavier branches on the left would feel very unstable IMHO.

If you don't feel it would be possible to bend that central trunk would shortening it to below the knuckle allow a new leader to grow in a better line? I just feel that particular branch is really important to the structure of this tree so would like to explore all avenues to retain before making a chop.
