Hey I thought I'd see if anyone has had success with rooting larch hardwood cuttings before? I'm giving it a go right now and they are popping buds as we speak. I've read that the success rate are mixed but wasn't sure if anyone here has had a crack at it? Here are some pics

Cool project, serious. Keep us updated! Also, write down the exact process and document every step and phase.

Will do grimmy. So far it's involved cutting of branches less than 1/2" in diameter and placing them in a free draining, water retentive mix. I have tried with no rooting hormone to see how they fair. I have been misting the cuttings when I walk by but nothing consistent at this point.

More important if they survive is when they were struck, date, temperature, etc... Reason I am saying it is important - Larch in general do not back branch or bud on old wood readily and my experience tells me 2 - 3 years of BS makes it happen. If they can be struck reliably the grafting process would be greatly sped up...
