Yes, like you said, one would be styled decorated like a mini Christmas tree. The other would be nonconventional.

I think itās worth waiting to see how many people take the same approach as myself and design a traditional Christmas tree. If we see a bunch in the threads next year, I think itās worth having another category, but so far I havenāt seen others try it.I was thinking the exact same thing today!
Was getting around to proposing that myself!
sorry I missed this.

I love it.
+ I would also note that all types, shapes, & style of trees can be decorated with Christmas garb and enter that category.
I.e. If you want to enter a literati style with some decorations, go for it!
Absolutely! Nice find.View attachment 521794
I just picked this guy up, itās in a red pot and near Christmas time, can I play?!it wasnāt actually marketed as a living Christmas tree though.
No not stupid. I need to get @Bonsai NutI may be being particularly stupid, but I can't find a main "folder" for Christmas tree entries (2023-2026)...do we just post directly into the contests forum?
Robust and full! SuperbThis is my latest find at the Home Depot.
The smaller 4 gallon ones were gone (what I initially came back for) but they still had the 6 1/2 gallon baby blue spruce for Half off.
I didnāt want to be spending $60, but what can I say, Iām a slave to my addiction.

I wonāt be entering this in the competition as I want to go a little slower with this one. I may even put it in the ground.

Currently, the burlapped rootball is all frozen solid. I wonāt be doing anything to the tree besides cleaning out dead material till spring.
Happy new year! And merry wishes.
Sorry to hear that. I was excited to find a stone pine this year as well, but didnāt see a single one.Missed the boat on the Italian stone pines. They went fast this year.
Thought I'd found one, but when I got it in the car I realized it was spruce of some sort.Returned it.
I want something I can actually bring inside and use as a Christmas tree.
Yeah, this was the first time I've seen them around here in two years, only they were at Walmart last time. These were good ones at a great price too, but I couldn't justify a selfish purchase on my tight budget during the holidays.Sorry to hear that. I was excited to find a stone pine this year as well, but didnāt see a single one.
In the past, Iāve seen them at target, Trader Joeās, and Aldi!
None to be had this year.
Youāll need a ladder and some super thick wireFoggy and mild night. Had to snap a pic of this blue spruce in the front yard.
Perhaps some reference into shaping Christmas spruces!View attachment 525752View attachment 525753
I think you nee to rotate it more often. Maybe get a turntable for it,Foggy and mild night. Had to snap a pic of this blue spruce in the front yard.
