The Tree Thread

Nice Chojubai Dav. I wonder how long mine will take to get a trunk of that size.

I wish I new...I'm new to the chojubai rage. The two baby reds are 10-20 year projects I suspect:eek:.

That's a giant Dave! Feel free to ship to me when you get tired of it next week.. ;o)

Here is a chunky Chinese Elm. A bit difficult to see the canopy well... First shot from when I got it in 2011.

The latest reconstruction of the Zombi Mugo. Long way to go but I believe it is now well directed, and the methods for repotting have been determined. Nursery tree purchased as one of my first Mugo adventures in 1985.DSC_2363.JPG

Nice to see this thread revived. Particularly interested in seeing the progress on that ume.

Since I have to post something...recent photo of a water jasmine that I'm struggling to keep healthy in this climate. Recently defoliated (about a month ago) and pruned, then repotted. New growth looks healthy for now but it eventually starts turning yellow and sickly. Have not been able to figure out why. Might be a candidate to sell to someone in a better climate.
