Update on that Kevin wilson styled Yew. The deadwood is looking really good after only a year. For those interested, the before video is a few pages back I think

What mikita tool and drill bits is he using ? I can’t find them anywhere at the hardware stores they just carry crappy dremel

The makita is a die grinder, not sure of exact model.

In the UK we have a few options, either a bonsai nibbler https://bonsainibbler.co.uk/store/ or a bonsai terrier https://www.kaizenbonsai.com/the-terrier-the-ultimate-power-carving-tool-for-bonsai

Both are probably re-purposed from another industry but its a well guarded secret

Our renowned carvers seem to use the makita for bulky heavy cuts and the dremel for detail work
I don’t like dremel because you can only use bits for the dremel and the collet does not go up to 1/4” … I don’t want to buy a foredom
