thread grafting roots onto a ficus

I have this sumo styled ficus retusa, I was thinking about thread grafting roots onto... Was wondering what everyone thought...
the second pic is a vert of what I am thinking about doing...

So you would be thread grafting through the branches? Could be a quick way to a banyan style.

yes, you are correct... I have alot of cuttings that I have rooted up and planed on using them... Mainly because it will move this tree quite a bit further in a rather short amount of time. I will also be grafting onto the main trunk as well...

first of all, I think it's a great idea, I'll be working on a similar project with a ficus of mine, so I wish you the best.
