Thought I would post a couple of the flowers from my trees.

The ones I prefer are those of the pomegranate.
It's in a pot because I have to protect it in the winter (zone 8), but they should feel at home in Texas, Irene.

Well, the species' leaves (Punica granatum) are about 5 cm long (2 inches for those who still use medieval units of measurements :rolleyes: ).

Cultivars like "Punica granatum 'nana'" have much smaller leaves, and flowers.

Here's one that I keep in a pot, not a bonsaï, just a potted dwarf tree whose flowers I love...

I love the Emperor pomegrante....The fruit is almost blood red/black..
