Last year UBE (Union del Bonsai Español) had to organize their annual show virtually due to COVID. This year they were able to put one together once again in the town of Aranjuez were it's usually located. Spain, as always, manages to stage a great show with world class trees. I hope to make it there one of these years.

Here's a video that was just posted and a link to UBE's own site with excellent photographs of the exhibited trees. Also in their site check out the TANTAI exhibition from December 2021. Enjoy!

Here's another more recent video and of much higher quality that the one I originally posted. I am sure others will follow. Do note the exquisite attention to every detail in these displays.

Thanks for posting these. Excellent material to study for display ideas and tree pot combinations.

Thanks for sharing @MACH5

Do you know who has been working on this one? I haven't been able to catch a clear shot of the ID card in any of the photos albums/vids.

The first video when he says "a little bit of music and slow camera" I said cool, then he proceeds to zoom through the trees giving me motion sickness. Had to slow it down in YouTube to finish it.

Derek I do not know. As you may have noticed, Mario Komsta (bonsai motor world) is behind a lot of the displays. But not sure he collaborated on this one. Excellent tree!

LOL yeah not the best video but it was pretty much the only one out the gate. The second one I posted is much better!

Wow. light years ahead. So much detail and expression.

Judy, I personally would love to see more attention placed on the fine details. I have seen more than a few literally putting together their accents plantings in the parking lot at the Nationals. Come on people! We can do a little better.

Thanks to @Fidur I googled Ruben and managed to find a FB post with his tree, not sure if the link will work but you can just google "Ruben Ciezar Villanueva" if it doesn't

Edit: Just realised it's not the same tree @Canada Bonsai 🙃

Thank you @MACH5 and @Fidur

Yes @SeanS that's what I immediately did -- he and his wife have an exceptional collection and garden. That 3-trunk Arakawa is great. And yes, the one you posted is marvellous as is the pot it's in! Unless I am misunderstanding the Spanish (very possible), in one of his posts I believe he says that this tree came from Suzuki via Benavente, which would not be surprising given the quality.

Derailing my own thread for a moment but here's a link to Ruben's exceptional garden and collection!

Yep me too. I realize now what a detail freak I actually am. 🙃 I spent so much time on the details on my display ahead of time, and was really sort of shocked at some of the displays that I saw being shown, sorry to say that out loud.
