Does anyone have a pre bonsai Ulmus parvifolia 'Hokkaido' for sale or know of a vendor that has them for sale.

If you're new, I would strongly advise against Hokkaido, in favor of a Seiju or corkbark elm. Hokkaido are brittle, as you have read, and are virtually impossible to wire. You'd basically be raising a chia pet...growing, trimming, growing, trimming. Seiju responds better to wiring, is forgiving, and will still keep you busy trimming.

Hokkaido are cool little trees. I almost got one earlier this year. A vendor at a bonsai show I went to had a nice one for like $75.00 Dave's bonsai in Canton Ohio I believe.
If your into clip and grow try one. I want one to add to my Elm collection. I didn't have enough money on me at the time.
And Brian is right saying these are brittle. The guy had a sign on his that said please don't touch. The only tree on the premises that said that. Brritttlle. Cool little micro leaves though.
