Anyone got any experience and/or guidelines for them....Western White Pine, Pinus monticola? I have found a few photos on Jasons blog (Oregon) and have been treating it like other 5 needle pines.
Photo #1 -2008 -after it was rescued from a logging road cutbank,
Photo #2 - August 09
Photos#3 - Feb 2013 - before restyle - a basic slip pot... into the only pot I had :(
photo# 4 -changed into a semi cascade.
#5 - This weekend back on its perch.

I have read that the long needles do shorten over time and with proper technique...hhhhmmmm
Cheers Graham

Search the site for a post named "Southwestern White Pine" which I started. The guys were kind enough to give me some advise on my tree, Pinus Strobiformis, and I bet care guidelines are similar.

Bottom line - treat it like JWP.

I like your tree, good luck.
