What I did while on hiatus

Hey, Al. Glad you're back. I remember your thread earlier this summer informing us here of your difficulties at home...it truly saddened me to learn of your impending divorce as I know (from many other posts of yours over the years) you had been married for a long time and had deeply loved your wife at one point. I remember one particular quote from a post at BT several years ago where you said you would gladly give up all your worldly belongings, including bonsai, to spend just one more day on Earth with your wife...what an awesome, wonderful sentiment. Anyway, you have clearly worked things out and hearing the good news just made my day. Congratulations!

Dave

Glad you're back Al. Missed ya.

We don't know each other well, Al, but it does my heart good to know that your marriage and your kidneys are on the road to recovery. We may disagree, and it IS a bonsai forum and all that, but bonsai pots would be WAY down the list for me compared to loved ones and health. :) Glad you're doing well! Welcome back.

Thanks Will, no my focus fas not shifted. And pots are low on my list too. It's just that my wife and I make a lot of money and now she has a better understanding of allowing me to spend a little more of what "I" earn on what I love. I have convinced her that "we can't take it with us". Going to Hawaii is a small step in this new spending process as well as seeing the Grand Canyon before I die.

I'm going to wait till she is moved all the way back into the house before I spring the trip to Japan on her!

wish me luck..Al

A trip to Japan may be the best thing that happened to her, since there is a chance that you quit bonsai after returning from the trip.:)
