Hey guys, curious which trunk like you find most aesthetically pleasing. Ignore the branches for now and this tree will be heavily carved.

A

B. The visual balance feels better in B to me with the thicker trunk to the frontline of sight.

A. Lower bark does not look like rotted away as B does.

Whichever one that makes the taller stub look fatter than the short one.
They're pretty close in size it's hard to tell.
In a double trunk tree the fattest should also be the tallest and it should also be noticeably larger.

That way the younger looking trunk is shorter...

And a little left tilt 'll get your leaders right and bury that fat root.

B Has some branches growing to the inside (between the 2 trunks) and also eye-poking, so I guess A is better, but it's too soon to tell.

Thanks everybody for your opinion. I was hoping for more of a landslide victory to make this easier.

The taller trunk is much thinner but I did not want to cut it because of its curve. So I had the idea of just making the thicker one shorter as if it were a larger trunk which fell down from wind and is now much shorter than its thinner counterpart.

Forgive me, but I'm not "seeing" this.

Are these not merely your first segments of taper?

Id still be in here....
With a few more segments...
And that lil tilt...

Let that movement pull back right...

Pimp.

From the photos...the larger trunk does appear thinner of the two. I feel this virtual Sorce did is BANG ON in a good direction. So many wish later they had did the harder cut backs...and I feel it's worth chewing over for awhile to decide if it lines up with your final direction you see for your material.
